Labor Day

We wish you a pleasant Labor Day, which falls on Sunday, May 1 this year.

Labor day is an international celebration of labourers and the working classes that has been celebrated since 1890. The festival was introduced to commemorate the outbreak of the American workers' strike in Chicago on May 1, 1886, which resulted in the Haymarket Massacre. In our country, it was celebrated for the first time on Střelecký Island in Prague.

In the United States and Canada, Labor Day is celebrated on the first Monday in September.
